Artistic director

David Makhmudov became artistic director of the Kreutzer International Competition. The 2nd edition of the competition will take place in the beautiful Miry Concert Hall and Ghent Royal Conservatory in August 2024.


Violin Studio

In September 2022 David Makhmudov created his own “Violin Studio” in residence of renowned violin maker Jessica De Saedeleer. The Studio is open for violinists beginners starting from 6 years old, as well as for advanced pupils aiming superior musical studies. In addition to weekly individual lessons, the studio will organize auditions, concerts, lectures and masterclasses.


Class concert

11 talented pupils from David Makhmudov’s class performed on the stage of the Russian Cultural Center works by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Rubinstein, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich. The concert was dedicated to the memory of the people's artist of Russia, professor Irina Vasilievna Bochkova.


Summer masterclasses in Brussels and Dinant

David Makhmudov will give masterclasses at the Summer Music Academy "FORTE" in Brussels and at the International Music Academy in Dinant.


Kreutzer International Music Competition

David Makhmudov will join the jury of the Kreutzer International Music Competition. Other jury members of the first edition include Yuri Zhislin, Hrachya Avanesyan, David Cohen, Mihai Marica, Diana Ketler, Yi Wang, Huiming Wen and Yi Zhong.


First live stream recital

Since public concerts are still not allowed in most of Europe, David Makhmudov decided to meet with his public online and gave his first live stream recital. Live from the beautiful Chapel of the Hollands College in Leuven and together with violist Danila Mashkin, the musicians performed sublime music by Bach, Mozart and Martinu.


Concert at the Chapelle du Sacré-Coeur de Lindthout

The highly anticipated concert with the "Nuove Musiche" symphony orchestra was cancelled due to the current circumstances. However, for David Makhmudov and his young pupils, it was very important to meet and share the work they have accomplished with their families and friends.
